The pitch

Curb Hound is a pixel-art soapbox derby. You race cart number 7 over 1000 meters of open street against two rivals, threading cone gates and catching air off driveways.

Cross the line and a spiked-collar bulldog comes after you. The run becomes an endless chase, and you throw dog biscuits to send him off your tail. Every hound you outrun joins your kennel and earns biscuits while the tab is closed, and biscuits buy new carts.

How to play

  1. Steer through 1000 meters of street around manholes, potholes, grates, bicyclists and hydrants.
  2. Thread cone gates for style and a biscuit each. Tap left or right in the air off a ramp for a trick.
  3. After the finish line, stay ahead of the hound. Grab a biscuit and he peels off to fetch it.
  4. Throw a banked biscuit when he is on you to buy distance.
  5. Open the kennel from the title to buy carts and see the hounds you have outrun.

Controls

Keyboard and mouse

Arrow keys or A and D steer. S, Down or Space is gas. W or Up brakes. F or Enter throws a biscuit. K opens the kennel. P pauses, M mutes.

Touch

On-screen steering, with GAS, BRAKE and THROW pads.
